Montego Donates Food Boxes to Local Communities

Montego has donated boxes containing essential food items to residents of Ito-Omu Community, located within one of its' operational areas. This came as part of the Montego Foundation's effort to alleviate food insecurity, made even worse by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In line with Montego's Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) aligned CSR goal of hunger eradication, the donation is part of a number of similar ones intended to support local communities and provide basic needs during one of the worst economic crises some of the communities have had to face.

Similarly, Montego had carried out food drives in two other local communities in the thick of the lockdown necessitated by the pandemic. These are communities where Montego has a large operational presence and aligning to the Foundation's goal of supporting local communities.

Food security continues to be a major issue around the world and doing our part to achieve a better and more sustainable future for our local communities. Montego has undertaken among others, SDG 2 - Zero Hunger, as part of it's CSR efforts.

"We are committed to doing our part in providing support and resources for our local communities to thrive, especially in the areas of hunger eradication, education, and the environment. We really do believe no one should have to go without food so, collectively at Montego we are challening our efforts towards reducing the impact of food insecurity within our communities"
