Environmental

At Montego, we are committed to public safety and protecting the environment. Through our sustainable operational processes and smart technology, we are making sure our businesses and operations have minimal impact on our environment.

Our commitment to safeguarding the environment also drives our quest to provide cleaner sources of energy to communities across Africa. We are investing in solutions that will light up and power homes, cities, and businesses across Africa, using renewable energy in order to reduce the impact of fossil fuels on our environment. 

We are proud of our safety record across our locations and several business concerns, which we have achieved by implementing internationally recognised safety standards both for our employees and contractors. This ensures that our operations and processes are carried out with utmost care and safety consideration for both personnel and the environment.

At the core of our business, our care and concern for the environment is deeply embedded and is demonstrated in our vision, mission, and values. It is our long-term goal to foster sustainable practices that leave every person and community that our business impacts the better for it.

Social

Our people, stakeholders, and communities play an important role in how we conduct our business. We are vested partners in the communities where we operate and are committed to building trust and promoting collaboration.

One of the ways we do this is by undertaking various social development initiatives through the Montego Foundation. We have executed projects in our local communities that improve education, support hunger eradication, and promote child and youth empowerment.

Through our volunteer and mentorship programs, we are partnering with institutions, non-profit organisations, and communities to provide social services and learning opportunities where they are needed the most.
