Montego Hosts STEM Workshop For Young Girls

To mark the International Day of Girls and Women in Science, Montego Group recently organised a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics workshop for young girls from the Dream Catchers Academy. Partnering with STEM METS Resources, a social enterprise committed to nuturing, enriching and inspiring young minds, the workshop provided the youngsters with a hands on introduction to coding and robotics.

This is in line with the Group's CSR initiative which in part focuses on education and child and youth empowerment. The session was an avenue to demonstrate the many career paths open to girls and women in the field of science and technology, and encourage these young minds to boldly pursue whatever career path that piques their interest. The girls in attendance were notably excited and soaked in the lessons from the STEM METS facilitators.

The Montego Group will continue to create opportunities like this to connect brilliant young minds to resources that enable them unlock their potentials and set them on their way to achieving their dreams.
